Taylor began her career on YouTube, at first creating ASMR videos with her mobile. PewDiePie used her video in an episode of one his shows shortly when Taylor had 50,000 followers approximately 1 1/2 months after the first video she uploaded. Taylor had stopped creating videos for her Youtube channel after 2 months and more than 100,000 subscribers. This was mainly due to technical issues related to the new equipment she was using, as well as her overwhelming popularity. The channel began to produce videos following an absence of one month. The most popular was the famous ASMR Ten Triggers to Help You Sleep. (35,000,000 views in august 2022). In July 2017, she released another popular video, ASMR 20 Triggers to help you To Sleep (38 million views by august 2022). In August 2017, she was interviewed in Shane Dawson's video, and soon afterward, reached one million YouTube subscribers. Wired UK reported that in February 2019, she made $1000 per day from advertising on her YouTube channel.

Dennis Helfer along with Elaine Helfer are the parents of Helfer. The two are from German, English, Swedish and Norwegian heritage. She was educated at the William E. Hay Composite High School in Stettler located in Alberta. She worked and lived on the family's grain farm with her three sisters: Trena, Tammy and Tara. When she was 17 years old, a scout for models at an agency spotted Helfer while waiting at the front of a line for entry into a cinema.
